Today we even got to go for a nice long walk with the family! Such a gorgeous day, and a little taste of spring to bad it's only for today cuz tomarrow it's back to winter reailty!

I also had fun this morning making my daughter some jewlery to wear! She is deffanetly a girl and loves all this kind of stuff! She was pretty proud to show it off!
Can't wait for my love to come home tonight and out we go! Need to do a little shopping and get out of the house! Gods Blessings!

Valentines Day Fun!

So today we finished up, our what seemed to take forever project of making simple and easy valentine cards for family with my little bit young wanting to rip everything son and somewhat ready daughter..phew glad thats done! =)


Well they came out extra cute and all the product came from micheals on sale and with coupons so it was budget approved! Take a look...

And of coarse i had to make my hunni a special valentine...

And The Sewing Begins...

This is what i do to pass the long months of winter..make something, and with a new baby on its way what better to make then baby blankets! This is my newest creation, i know the picture is in B &W but i cant show you the color because that would reveal what i'm having and yep it's a secret =)

SNOW TIME...


My kids and I also make it beyond the sliding glass door to atempt to shovel our patio off and play a little..I managed to finish it but i had to learn the hard way that my son does not like the snow..he played for a bit then quickly decided that was enough of the white stuff and screamed while i finished shoveling! Maybe it's the age (18 months) oh well here is our veiw from the back!

Lemon Bars with Blueberry Compote

Lemon Bars
Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 1/2 cup powdered sugar
• 2 Tablespoons cornstarch
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 3/4 cup butter
• 4 eggs, lightly beaten
• 1 1/2 cups sugar
• 3 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon finely shredded lemon peel
• 3/4 cup lemon juice
• 1/4 cup half-and-half, light cream, or milk
• Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×13 baking pan. In a bowl, combine the  flour, powdered sugar, cornstarch, & salt. Using a mixer, cut butter into mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
Press mixture into the bottom of prepared pan. bake 18 to 20 minutes or until edges are golden.

Meanwhile, for filling, in a medium bowl stir together eggs, sugar, 3 tablespoons flour, lemon peel, lemon juice, and cream. Pour filling over hot crust. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until center is set.

Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars. Cover and store in refrigerator. Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.


Blueberry Compote
Ingredients

• 2 cups frozen blueberries
• 3 Tablespoons water
• 1/4 cup sugar
• 2 teaspoons lemon juice

Combine 1 cup of the blueberries, water, sugar and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook over a medium heat for about 10 minutes. Add the rest of the blueberries and cook for 8 minutes more, stirring frequently. Cool slighty and serve!

I've been doing Zumba along with a lot of other ladies in the past few months..and i LOVE it!!! One of the instructors is Doing a ZUMBA BASH on March 12th @ 4:30.. It looks like it is going to be a blast and a major workout! But i can't wait! Tickets are $15 for all you Zumba Lovers!
