Apples

A family tradition in our house is at least one family trip a year to the apple orchards. It's funny how such a simple process can be so much fun for the whole family! From riding in a tractor pulled wagon, to running through the many rows of trees, to eating apples while you pick. My kids love it! and whats even better is having Papa & Grandma come along!

 Tasty treat!

 Wait for me Papa!

Take your pick, or pick them all!

I'll pick them ;)

All you've got to give is everything you've got!

Recently Aaron and i have participated in two 5k's! The gym we both go to had a sign up for a local 5k and we figured we'd give it a try. This was Aaron's 1st 5k, but he has been running for a while now. I on the other hand at this point had not been running much due to just having a baby 3 months ago and still getting back into shape. So with a few weeks to train we ran our 1st 5k together in Jaffrey. It was a trail run 5k which can be tricky with skinny trails and mud but it was fun! Aaron had told me for this one he would run along side of me, so we could do it together, even though i know he could have finished several minutes before me! All in all we did pretty good and finished together at 30:06..

We were also signed up for this local 5k located at Mascenic High school, the week after. After a stressful morning we made it in time to get our shirts & packets, get our numbers on and line up to race! I ran this one solo as Aaron wanted to run at his pace to see what kind of time he could get. This coarse was all pavement with a short section dirt. The first 2 1/2 miles were pretty regular with slight incline and flats, but the end of the run were some pretty challenging hills! I was so proud of Aaron finishing at 23:06, and me finishing at 28:11. It was a fun time and a great start to our day!
